Most Profitable Youtube Video Formats

Youtube influencer marketing is probably one of the most popular forms of sponsored content marketing out there due to its ability to provide clear-cut ROI and brand visibility. Products or services are shown in use and therefore, with a decent marketing budget and a couple of smart influencer picks, it's a pretty good way for brands to get publicity and ultimately, sales.

Wi-Fi as Digital Real Estate

The purview of what is seen as digital real estate is constantly changing. There seem to be an infinite number of places where companies and marketers are able to, for lack of a better work, stick their name on things. Some of them are extremely imaginative, and with seamless content marketing, sometimes it doesn’t even seem like marketing. Which is, in my humble opinion, the best definition of marketing done right.

The pharmacy that needs a restraining order

I am not in the medical profession, but my parents are. And from them, I learned the extremely important bond that exists between a doctor and their patient. No artificial intelligence can ever replicate this. There definitely are people who prefer not wanting to wait in line to see a doctor and WebMD it instead, but there isn't anything like hearing a diagnosis from a reputable physician. But there's one thing you cannot avoid lines for - and that is to pick up your prescription.

The Futura of Font: Rise of Sans Serif

Futura and the like in NYC

You've seen it. The slow shift from the classic, serif fonts that dictated business cards (cough-cough American Psycho) and shop fronts and logos of the 90's and early 2000s to the no-nonsense, geometric, almost retro-feeling sans-serif ones we have seen peppering the landscape now. Brands have either rebranded to it (Swissair, Mastercard, more recently Lenovo) or have were born that way (Spotify, FeDEx, LinkedIn) - cue Lady Gaga.

Most of those fonts were popular in the 20's and 30s, when there was a need for geometric and precise typesetting - and the ability for it to translate perfectly across all the printing equipment at that time. But none are as popular and as worshipped (just a little) as a font called Futura.

The Cookie Cutter Branding Issue - Why brands shouldn't copy

With the world’s marketplace getting more and more competitive, it has never been more important that it is now to have a strong brand image. There are multiple brand touchpoints - from brick-and-mortar stores to e-comm, social media to print advertising. The diversity of these outlets makes it crucial for a brand to be recognizable and have staying power in the minds of its customers.

The Future of Beauty on Instagram

Social media is here to stay, and in 2017, we look forward to digital innovation, exemplary story telling and (for brands) new methods of conversion (a.k.a getting us to buy things we probably don't need). Instagram has proven itself to be the leader of the social media pack, and that probably has something to do with the fact that it has Snapchat/Facebook functionalities built in - it's basically like that Power Ranger that's made out of the other ones (I Googled, it's called a Megazord). Over the past year, it's reshaped the way brands communicate with their audiences, moving past simple hashtags and giveaways. We've got a new algorithm (hmm...), longer videos and sponsored posts. But what is the future of the 'gram looking like?
